Pasturing Of Wheat Should Be Moderate

J C Swinbank, Extension Agronomist at the Nebraska College of Agriculture, warns that moderate pasturing of wheat is essential to avoid reducing grain yields. Maintaining protective ground cover through fall and winter prevents wind erosion and winter kill while allowing for some top growth.
