The University of Nebraska will offer Education 248 Curriculum in the Secondary School in Sidney starting late January for the second semester. Lodgepole Rites Held Today For Mrs Schmidt 56
Funeral services were held at the Lodgepole Methodist Church for Viola B. Schmidt 56 who died Monday evening in Cheyenne County Memorial Hospital. Rev Jerle Bartlett officiated with burial at Pleasant View Cemetery under Craig Mortuary direction. Survivors include husband Adolph two daughters Ethel Oliverms Lodgepole and Ruth Brown Denver son Robert Schmidt Buffalo Wyoming four grandchildren.

Charles Rapp Hurt in Tractor Mishap Near Dalton
Charles Rapp of Sidney was seriously hurt when his tractor toppled eight feet at an oil well location on the Wilson base about 25 miles west of Dalton. He crawled to the road, fell, and was unable to walk. Gilbert Sorge and wife of Gurley found him and drove him to Dalton where the Rescue Squad transferred him to Cheyenne County Memorial Hospital. Doctors report a fractured pelvis and bruises.

Temperature fluctuation lowers to five above zero
The morning low reached five degrees above zero marking the coldest reading of the season while by 11 am the official temperature jumped to 40 degrees. Overnight readings were seven above zero at 11 pm and held until early morning before turning warmer as moderating weather arrived.

More Religious Displays Sought in Sidney Window Contest

Indian Death Probe Shifts To New Area
Morris Goeman and Mrs. Ray Adair of Dalton are jailed in Surke County S C on public intoxication charges while police probe the death of a 65 year old Indian found in their car. Gregory County Sheriff Oliver says the death occurred in Tripp County and that authorities from Tripp County have joined the investigation.

State Engineer L N Ross said the Nebraskan segment of the interstate from Omaha to the Wyoming line is planned for completion in stages with usable portions by year’s end. The North Platte to Grand Island stretch will see contracts awarded 1960-64, with overall project cost around 300 million for 489 miles across Nebraska East to West.
