Low Income Of Farmers Is Discussed At Credit Union Meet
At the Midwestern Credit Union Conference in Omaha Kris Kristianson of the College of Agriculture cited the 1950 census showing 18 percent of Nebraska farmers had net income under $1 and 54 percent earned under $3,000. He urged credit design to serve lower income farmers and support intermediate loans for livestock programs and conservation and farm size adjustments. Conference members noted rural unions in Kansas Missouri and North Dakota provide short and intermediate credit. Rural bankers often help organize unions to supply loan services beyond their reach.

New Pipeline Starts Today Across Central Plains
Arapahoe Pipe Line began full operations today spanning 568 miles through Colorado, western Nebraska and Kansas. The line from Merino Colorado to Humboldt Kansas carries crude to midwestern refineries with Nebraska extensions in 8 10 and 12 inch sizes. The initial shipment of 25,000 barrels moved on the first completed 168 mile section from Schurz Station to Humboldt on November 9, with an initial capacity of 250,000 barrels daily.

Barbara Hinrichs fourteen daughter of John and Mrs. Hinrichs of 2227 Linden Street died this morning at St. Marys Hospital Rochester Minnesota after a heart ailment. She had been at Mercy Hospital Denver about two weeks before transfer for possible surgery. Accident Victim May Go Home
The lone oilman still hospitalized from a two car crash 12 miles north of Potter on November 23 is expected to be released soon. J D Ledbetter 31 of Trailer City is reported to be going home. Three men were critically injured in the wreck which killed four others, marking it as a severe Nebraska road disaster this year. George Stewart 25 of Trailer City was taken to a Denver hospital and Robert Cottrell 37 of Scottsbluff was moved to a Scottsbluff hospital. Two other men suffered minor injuries.

He warned of Arab Jewish border tensions and predicted possible conflict in the region.
