Soren M Sorensen of Denver and Elizabeth Christensen of Denver wed at the M E parsonage with Rev Zipnecker officiating on Wednesday December 7 1910. Jacob Heimlich and Mary Turner both of Denver married by Judge Gapen on the same day in his first ceremony.
Andreen and Cheswick were married by Judge Gapen in the Court Home office. The couple, met in Norway last summer and traveled to Sidney for the ceremony with witnesses Mr. and Mrs. Albert Morrow of Dalton. They rode home in an auto amid congratulations. L. F. Cunningham of Higgins visited the city yesterday.
A large Cheyenne county meeting at the high school drew educators for a day of talks and music.Miss Morrison and Supt E C Ringer led discussions on ninth grade deficits and reading methods with input from Mrs Knox, Prof Leonard, and others.
The third talk in Sidney's lecture series was delivered last Tuesday by Dr O O Smith and described as press ing entertaining and helpful. Only three tickets were sold at the door with many ticket holders absent. The note urges Sidney residents to attend future events to encourage better talent and boost the course.
The October 1910 District Court term ended with a brief adjournment on Monday morning December 5 by Judge Grimes. Minor items were handled and the court adjourned sine die. The February 6 1911 regular term will be a jury term with a jury drawn.
County Judge Gapen granted marriage licenses to Soren M. Sorensen and Elizabeth Christenson of Denver. O E Andreea of Dalton wed Dagny Cheawick of Chicago. Jacob Heimlich and Mary Turner, both of Denver, also received licenses.
Mrs. L. G. Simon, the local Red Cross Christmas Seals representative, lists Robinson Grocery Co Sidney Mercantile Co S Fishman's J C Baldwin's and the Sidney Drug Store as outlets to purchase the seals.
Mr and Mrs T B Cawnon hosted a dinner Wednesday night honoring Mr and Mrs Oosterhondt who departed for Portland that same night to be away at least a year. Dr and Mrs Beebe also hosted a Saturday dinner described as elaborate. Dr Conway's Anatomical Shoes advertised by Oberfelder Clothing Co.
At a regular meeting the Commercial Club heard a representative describe plans for a steam laundry. They reported funds to acquire a majority of stock and sought local businessmen to join as stockholders to ensure initial support and ongoing viability. The owners plan to buy all available stock within a set time after issue.
The Sidney Military Band concert last week drew a large crowd. Prof. Lynch earned praise for his cornet notes as music lovers commended the performance. Organizers say the Opera House seating should be expanded to fit all attendees and announce another concert with lute music in preparation.
The seven month old daughter of Mr and Mrs Paul Kroener died last Saturday after contracting pneumonia following a measles bout. The funeral was held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the family home.

The virile story follows a young married couple facing poverty and a theft by the husband with the wife’s steadfast goodness saving them. A Saturday Banquet to The Hunters at the Union Pacific Hotel on December 3 featured J C Baldwin Dan Campbell Earl Kratz Mr Mitchell H V Redington R W Devoe C E Nord of Council Bluffs Iown Fred King and Fred Griffith with L O Fundingsland absent A four course dinner centered on roast goose followed by toasts and reminiscences from Baldwin Campbell Kratz and others. The gathering was described as a success and memorable.

The Orpheum Theatre and picture show opened on Thursday night to a packed house with every seat filled. Vath's orchestra provided the music and management reported a very successful new venture.
