Walter Canaday Dies Bridgeport Mortician Civic Leader
Walter A. Canaday Jr. a 59 year old Bridgeport mortician and secretary of the state board of examiners for funeral directors and embalmers died after a three month illness. An overseas World War I veteran he helped build the Morrill Pioneer Veterans Memorial hospital and was active in American Legion Masons and Shrine circles.
