The charge involves Gus Anest of Bridgeport accused of rape of 15 year old Sylvia Gundulas. Anest pleaded not guilty and is free on 1500 bond since last March. New Trial Requested By Frahm Attorneys

Father Of Local Lady Dies From Infection
Blood poisoning from an infected blister on his heel caused the death Saturday of D. D. McLean, father of Mrs Rena McCleneghan of Sidney. He was taken to an Omaha hospital where amputation was not possible due to complications. McLean lived on a farm near Elkhorn. Mrs McCleneghan cared for him over a week as Lamila and Sam visited. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Elkhorn.

Traffic Light Replacement Planned at 10th Ave and Illinois St
