Frontier lays off pilots amid 5 percent flight cut

Alliance Man Captured After Jail Escape

A 25 year old Alliance man, Jamies W. Hiward, was returned to Alliance city jail after being captured in Sidney by Cheyenne County deputies, Sidney police, and Nebraska State Patrol. He escaped Alliance jail Monday night by sawing bars with hacksaw blades. blades found in his cell Tuesday. He was held for burglary charges awaiting a preliminary hearing.
