Nebraska escapees captured near Austin Texas
Ray E. Benkusky 19 of Sidney Nebraska and Ray E. Schell 34 of Kentucky were recaptured near Austin after fleeing Lincoln reformatory. Benkusky attempted to rob a rest stop on I 35 and wrecked a stolen pickup at a roadblock. Schell surrendered afterward. They fled through Kansas and Oklahoma after taking food and a gun from a house in Martell Nebraska.

One car crash kills Idaho woman near Sul
