Nebraska escapees captured near Austin Texas
Ray E. Benkusky 19 of Sidney Nebraska and Ray E. Schell 34 of Kentucky were recaptured near Austin after fleeing Lincoln reformatory. Benkusky attempted to rob a rest stop on I 35 and wrecked a stolen pickup at a roadblock. Schell surrendered afterward. They fled through Kansas and Oklahoma after taking food and a gun from a house in Martell Nebraska.

One car crash kills Idaho woman near Sul
Margaret Ann Manion of Blackfoot Idaho died in a late Friday one car crash on an interstate near Sul as her car left the shoulder and rolled repeatedly. She was 41, survived by her parents a brother husband four sons and a daughter. A native of Craig Colorado.
