Adjustment Board Forms Inaugural Session And Actions

The Adjustment board met for the first time Tuesday night electing James Edwards as chairman and Carl Schmidt as vice chairman. John Peetz Jr was asked to draft a rules set for board governance. The board tabled Arlo Jones’s one year extension request for a temporary use permit for the Insurance Center on South Lith Ave and sought a legal opinion on extending the permit. A horse riding variance near city limits was not taken up due to insufficient evidence about nonconforming use. Variances granting garages to Robert Nellin and Bud Pritchard were approved.

200 register at WNTC classes start in Western Nebraska Tech

About 200 students registered for classes at Western Nebraska Technical College on Tuesday, with 125 new students and many from the Southern Panhandle. Council backs fact finding trip on south Sidney interchange
