Burke to tour Nebraska with talks in September

Oil Tests Reveal Promise Of Discovery At Chadron Well
David Haris of California has bought interests in Stephens Petroleum and will continue drilling nine miles northwest of Chadron on the Palmer estate. The well spudded in a year ago, at 2,600 feet depth, shows oil indications at 2,100 feet and has produced gas from 2,200 feet onward. The driller plans to reach the Madison lime at about 4,200 feet, with the Dakota sands current depth just touched.

A Brooklyn man identifying as Robert Kaslow, 35 Prospect Street, Brooklyn, was detained Friday night by Night Officer Sid Moore and handed to Sheriff W. W. Schulz for Cheyenne police. He faced suspicion of stealing a car belonging to Emeline Barton of the Plains Hotel in Cheyenne. The vehicle was taken from in front of the Plains Friday evening. Kaslow was returned to Cheyenne Saturday morning for hearing.
