Death of Mrs Ed Herrington at Hillsdale New York
Telegram from Bullock County records confirms the death of Mrs. Ed Herrington at Hillsdale New York on Wednesday afternoon. Born December 25 1864 she married Ed Herrington nine years ago and moved to Nebraska later living at a stock ranch in Devel county prior to returning to Hillsdale. She died from Brights Disease leaving husband son Edwards who died last March at seven months and Willie six with parents two brothers sister and both sets of parents, friends extend sympathy.

Prairie Fire Ranges Across Sidney Draw. Homes Threatened
A prairie fire last Sunday night burned three sections from Otto Kurtz’s timber claim toward Osgood’s ranch. Wind shifted, pushing flames through John Snider and John Wall pastures toward Wolf’s hills. About a mile and a half-wide path burned while Frank Pearson lost hay but saved the corncrib and house. Fire extinguished near J. W. Nelson’s place around 1 am after a vigil by ranchmen. Likely started by a dropped match. second fire of the season following an earlier lightning blaze near Gunderson’s valley into Colorado.
