Natural Gas Reserves Hiked West of Sidney
Drilling activity west and northwest of Sidney has boosted known natural gas reserves with eight to ten more wells needed for full assessment. A future, larger drilling program hinges on pooling agreements and leaseholders. Officials note no current plans for a new processing plant, though rumors of Ohio building one persist. A seven inch line from Marlowe field to Huntsman plant will unlock shut-in reserves and ease high gas-oil ratios in the area.
