Peetz District The Shing To Be Late This Year

Grain shipments from Peetz for the first 15 days in August show 80 cars of wheat and seven cars of barley sent out. An unusual amount of combined grain is being held by farmers due to unfavorable markets. Acreage in shock and stock is far in excess of any year since the introduction of combines. Threshing is predicted to continue until after Thanksgiving, perhaps Christmas.
