Grace H. Kenfield 72 died Saturday evening in a Denver hospital after surgery. Funeral at Dalton Presbyterian Church with Rev. Leroy Nelson officiating. Burial in Dalton Cemetery. Survivors include three daughters Berniece Munshaw Eunice Woolsey Elma McBean and two sons Harold Charles Woolsey plus ten grandchildren.

Plane makes sudden landing at Kimball airport
A one motor plane piloted by an unnamed flyer landed safely at Kimball airport near Minneapolis after reporting an oil line break that filled the cabin with smoke. The pilot, who was between Cheyenne and Sidney, followed CAA instructions and touched down without further incident.

Former Sidneyite Pleads Guilty to Check Charge
Dale Justice 28 of Sidney entered a guilty plea to writing and passing an insufficient funds check for 65 dollars dated November 11 1956. He was bound over to district court by Cheyenne County Judge C Smith held on a 35 dollar bond with 18.70 in court costs. The arrest occurred in Springfield Missouri upon a Cheyenne County warrant.

Rites Today for Former Sidney Resident Mrs Knapp
Funeral services for Mrs. Kenneth K. Knapp Sr., a former Sidney resident, were held today at 2 p.m. from George Lewis Funeral Home in Houston. She died recently at her LaSalle Apartments home in Houston. Survivors include three sons Dr. Robert Knapp and Paul Knapp of Houston and Kenneth Knapp of Abilene.
