Mrs. David A Barnhart pioneer of Sidney Nebraska died at her daughter Mrs A W Atkins Bridgeport after a nearly two year illness the last six months bedridden. Burial was in Greenlawn Sidney beside her husband with funeral at Lutheran church led by Rev W T Kahse pallbearers listed. Survived by three sons John Guy Hugh and a daughter Mrs A W Atkins eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren with four brothers and three sisters.

Three Taken To State Institutions By Sheriff
John Flynn of Cheyenne county was taken to Hastings State Hospital by Sheriff Nelson for a suspected mental disorder linked to heat exposure. Alberta Mincer, a called woman, was sentenced to York Reformatory for moral irregularities and harried by the sheriff to leave the county. Robert Mitchell, a harvest hand, was convicted for forging checks. after jail time he was sent to Lincoln to serve at the state reform school.

A two year old black bear weighing around 200 pounds was run down and lassoed by C A Lee on his farm about 75 miles northwest of Sterling last week. The animal had been roaming the neighborhood for some time. It is being held at the Lee place near Atwood and will be processed into meat.
