Firemen Adopt Siren Blast Policy
Potter fire department adopts a new siren policy to continue sounding the alarm until a fireman answers the phone at the fire hall. The measure aims to ensure the warning is heard at night and to confirm readiness, though it notes an overnight call recently drew many responders and some were sent home. The report also notes Bermuda has 360 islands with 20 inhabited, and mentions the motto E Pluribus Unum and a magnolia tree planted at the White House by Andrew Jackson for his wife Rachel.
