A Nationalist club committee in Lincoln Nebraska urged Governor Crounse to call a special legislative session for drought relief. They seek surveys for irrigation ditches and work programs paid with state scrip for destitute southern counties where stock and people lack food and clothing.
The Rocky Mountain News reports Dr Dewitt was arrested in Muldrow on a bribery charge aimed at dating a money order to the Odd Fellows Benevolent association as part of the Andrew Kettenring murder mystery near Fort Smith Arkansas. Kettenring, a former Denver man, was killed July 1 near his home.
Christ Church Sunday school children enjoyed a pleasant outing Wednesday at Mr C I Borgquist’s three miles east of Sidney. Ladies joined the children and Rev G A Beecher with Mrs Beecher accompanied the party. The Borgquist grounds are praised as ideal for picnics. Cheyenne Co Sunday school convention set for Sept 11 and 12, 1804, in Sidney. all Sunday schools urged to attend.

Lee Nunn of Redington reports the death of his father Thomas Elbert Nunn. He was found dead near Clark Merrick County after being run over by a train while en route home from Nemaha County. We describe him as industrious and sober at twenty one, with parents and siblings residing in Redington. The Telegraph extends sympathy to the family.
