Republican Delegates Chosen for State and County Conventions
The Republican party organized in Cheyenne County with M. N. Tobin as chair and A. J. Carruth of Sidney as secretary. Delegates and alternates were named for state, senatorial, and representative conventions, plus a county central committee led by Alpheus Pease. The assembly praised the party’s vigor and announced a September county attorney nomination convention, while mourning the death of Samuel Urbach of Grand Island, brother of local resident Moritz Urbach.
