A series of survey notes describe multiple wildcat locations and coordinates in Nebraska and nearby areas. Lowell J. Williamson is cited with several claim positions near Crook and Fleming, specifying sections and quarters. Additional entries reference Pan American Petroleum Company in Colorado with a wildcat near Atwood.
Sidney Rotary Club will receive its official visit by district governor H. K. Douthit on Monday night. He supervises 249 district governors for 9,500 Rotary Clubs with 446,000 members in 102 countries and is Superintendent of the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture at Curtis.
Location prepared this week for a wildcat oil drill on Emil Lank land five miles north of Potter. Site at NW SE Sec 7 15 52. about a mile east-northeast of Anderson Field. Petroleum Inc announced the site. one-well Anderson property nearby may start next week.
Bill Tomberlin reports a wildcat discovery located eight miles east of Flem ing. The site is at Condon 1 cen ter NW NW, survey reference 13-9N-50W, detailing coordinates and placement for field exploration.
Nebraska oil production for the past week rose to 52,138 barrels, about 50 barrels higher than the prior week. Daily output in the northeast portion of the Denver-Julesburg Basin fell slightly.
Week ending Aug 6 shows Colorado oil output down overall to 52,963 barrels daily with declines in Logan and Washington counties and Morgan county dropping 4,345 barrels from the prior week. Weld county posts a gain of 1,452 barrels daily. Separately Pakistan Burma and Ceylon bought nearly all of India’s 1956 coal exports at 1,727,888 tons.
