Cheyenne County gears up for an August 11 to 14 fair as harvest winds down. The lineup includes a rodeo with 84 stock, vaudeville acts, Lodgepole Valley Saddle Club horse show, fireworks, carnival midway, junior farmer exhibits, and the county fair dance. Pomeroy and Harris expanded the rodeo, adding Brahma cattle and top riders. Telegraph will publish a full county fair edition August 8 with complete details.

Hruza Burned In Combine Fire Near Peetz

Cleveland Tourists Injured In Car Crash
Mr and Mrs William Farge and their daughter Jerry five suffered injuries when the car they rode in overturned three times on Highway 30 about eight miles west of Sidney. Deputy Braasch reported Fargo slept in the back seat and Mrs Fargo drove the vehicle losing control. Fargo had a fractured pelvis and possible internal injuries while Mrs Fargo sustained back injuries and the child was cut and bruised. They were taken to Roche Hospital.

Sidney machinery man Doyle Foland is recovering in Dalton Hospital after part of his leg was amputated following a combine accident last week. He was rescued from the machine's cylinder and taken for treatment.

Rites Held For Carlson Child
Funeral services were held for two year old Richard Carlson son of Mr and Mrs Fred Carlson of Potter. He died after suffocating in a grain chute at the Carlson farm last Wednesday. Reverend Anderson of Scottsbluff officiated and interment followed in Sidney's cemetery. A large gathering attended as flowers were donated to the county iron lung fund. First aid crews worked over the child for more than two hours but no heartbeat was recorded.
