Kimball resident Stan Juelfs, oil firm president and bank director, enters the 1978 Republican gubernatorial race as the third announced candidate joining former North Platte Mayor Robert Phares and ex Nebraska Wesleyan University president Vance Rogers. Vacation trip ends in camper wreck on I-80 near Sidney
A Nebraska vacation drive ended noon Tuesday when a 25 foot camper trailer blew a left tire causing a crash on I-80 east of Sidney. Six in the station wagon escaped with a scratched leg and a bumped head. Andrew Standards 34 said a strong jerk felled their camper as police directed traffic. The crew towed the mangled trailer while passengers gathered belongings and searched for a medicine bottle and a camera worth about 9000 dollars insured. No injuries were reported.
