Ackerson Receives Nebraska Summer Science Institute Grant
Glenn S. Ackerson of Sidney is among thirty-nine Nebraska science teachers awarded grants to attend the Summer Science Institute at Nebraska University. The program, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, runs June 9 to August 1 with stipends of 450 dollars plus 120 dollars per dependent up to four. Two hundred applicants competed for the Nebraska spots and one from Missouri was chosen as well.

Born May 8 1884 in York County Nebraska she lived in Phillips County near Holyoke and homesteaded near Trinidad. Survived by three sisters Ethel Clark Blanche Davis and Alice Rice and 18 nieces and nephews.
