Mrs. Francis Hiner was elected president of the Cheyenne County Historical Association at its annual meeting. Officers include Jim Paxton as vice president Roy Greenlee treasurer and Jack Curless secretary. Districts add five directors from Sidney Potter Dalton Gurley and Lodgepole. Vernon Goranson Dewey Larson Bud Hobson and Mrs Ira White elected from districts. A separate treasurer office was created with bonding rules. Sidney High students sang and showed slides of a commanding officer home. Coffee closed the program.

Edna Worden 83 longtime Cheyenne County resident died in Bloomington on Wednesday. She operated a Sidney beauty salon for years. Funeral at 2 Monday from Gehrig and Son with Rev. Sterrett Sentenced to Two to Four Years in Colo Prison
Ray Howard Sterrett of Parker South Dakota 38 pled guilty to grand larceny in Logan County District Court. Judge Francis Shallenberger gave a two to four year sentence at Colorado State Penitentiary Canon City for taking a $4100 bale loader from Nuss Tractor Sales near Sterling on March 15. he was arrested March 20.
