Principal speaker named for Chuck Wagon dinner at Elks
Arthur B. Morgan of New Holland Machine Co will be the keynote at the annual Chuck Wagon dinner at the Elks Auditorium in Sidney. The event, sponsored by the Sidney Chamber of Commerce and Sidney Rotary Club, expects a record crowd with over 1 000 invitations sent to farmers and ranchers in the Sidney trade area. 528 reservations had been received as of this morning. The program also features The Lady Beatles. Mr. Morgan, a Lancaster County resident, is a longtime sales executive with New Holland, now part of Sperry Rand, and holds posts with Lancaster Lincoln Mercury Co and local clubs.

Fugitive from Caldwell Held in Cheyenne County Jail
A 45 year old fugitive from Caldwell Idaho, Victor Donald Wild, is in Cheyenne County Jail awaiting extradition. He was arrested April 22 after being cited for driving a car with expired plates and lacking proof of ownership. Authorities say he is wanted for bad checks and unlawful flight, used a listed stolen credit card, and has a long FBI noted record including escapes, second degree murder, and robberies. His aliases include Donald R. Smotherman and Gerald Askins.
