Campbell's Sues Gas Company Over Damages

Charles Scott aged 68 a Dalton area farmer died yesterday at his son Harry's home after a two year illness. He farmed 20 years in Cheyenne county after moving from Weston Iowa native of Council Bluffs. Survived by five children and his wife plus one son deceased. Funeral Saturday at two from Dalton Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kenneth Reeves officiating. Burial in Dalton Cemetery under Gehrig funeral service.

Possession And Sale Of Liquors Charged In Complaint Here
The county attorney filed a complaint in Cheyenne county court charging Harry H. Burt with unlawful possession and sale of alcoholic liquors. Heaton acted at the state liquor commission's request and said evidence showed Burt operated the store without a current license. The commission noted the permit once issued to W. H. Wiker expires May 1. The attorney said he would cooperate with the commission and investigate further as to ownership of the store.

Five Spring Wheat Varieties Planted In 1937 Test Project
Cooperation between Cheyenne county farm bureau agricultural college and local farmers planted five spring wheat varieties on A. K. Anderson farm eight miles northeast of Sidney. The aim is to compare varieties under identical conditions to guide local farming choices. Varieties include Thatcher Komar Marqus Ceres and Durum with seed aid from the college and Carl Mahr supplying durum. Planting overseen by County Agent Swinbank. 1936 results showed Komar first.
