Easter activities filled two churches with large congregations as missions were highlighted. Pastors preached two sermons about the Resurrection and collected the annual missionary offering, while lavish floral decorations and pews added to the celebratory mood. Choirs, soloists, and the Lord's Supper enhanced services, with confirmations and new wardens elected.
The Cheyenne County Board of Commissioners met with Crigler Vanderhoof and Frame present. Audited James McConaughy’s lawn mower claim for the courthouse yard. Authorized R P LaMore to build one Belhount Canal bridge at $25 and disallowed a second due to proximity and travel need. Opened several consent roads for public use and discussed a bridge location near ranges 48 and 19. Petition to divide Union Valley for new precinct continued. County surveyor to locate northeast corner of section 1 97, township 19 range 51. Sheriff instructed to remove Harris child from poor farm and send to Lincoln. Meeting adjourned to April 27.

Frank Welch Lodge Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Sidney Nebraska met in spooling session on Tuesday evening April 19 Rev Robert G Osborne was made a Master Mason. Guests from Barney North Platte and Chappell attended. F BE Bullard Munster of Platte Valley Lodge North Platte presided in the east and received congratulations for the work. At ten o'clock breakfast was served at the Pacific hotel followed by short speeches from multiple brothers despite bad weather the gathering was praised as pleasant and profitable.
Marshall Williams arrested one C. S. Chillo and handed him to Buffalo County sheriff at Kearney. Daily rail route from Sidney to Camp Clarke approved effective May 2. J. L. Dearinger praised for pushing service. Nebraska’s State Board of Immigration formed by twenty town representatives. Sidney may supply one of the board’s hundred members. Third quarterly Methodist Episcopal church meeting set for Saturday and Sunday with W. Armsburry as presiding elder. Lords Supper to be administered after the morning sermon. County Sunday school convention led by Mrs. K. S. Perkins drew large turnout. discussion focused on Sunday school methods and socialization of religious teaching.
