Bill board completed by Sidney post of American Legion
The erection of a bill board on north Central avenue near the vacant lot was finished this week under Kenneth Bassett. The ten foot high structure is covered with heavy sheeting for future advertisements. The north side is reserved for the Legion and chamber of commerce, the east side for commercial use, thirty two feet for Brecht Cmndy of Denver, another space for U. S. A. theatre, leaving about fifteen feet for sale.

Road Building Now Going Full Blast in Cheyenne County
Road construction in Cheyenne county surges ahead with the Lincoln highway realignment west of Lodge Pole. Grand Island contractor C. J. Hysham has set up a grading camp at Lodge Pole with 60 horses and mules, six teen local workers, and a large grader. The project shifts dirt from the east end to a new 24 foot bridge and gravelled road about 500 feet north of the tracks to avoid soggy ground. Diamond Engineering oversees bridges and culverts, while Billeter supervises other county road work including filling low spots and raising sections near Colton and west of Sidney. A gravel machine was reviewed in Denver for potential future use.

Mitchell H M hired as interim Christian Church pastor
H M Mitchell of Pine Bluff Wyoming was hired for an indefinite period after filling the pulpit last Sunday both morning and evening. He will oversee services while a full time pastor is sought and will return home Monday to finish home stead proofing. Members and friends are invited to all services. A Christian Endeavor meeting is planned for Sunday April 20 at 7 00 PM with Mitchell present to help organize.

The Sidney County club opens its season with a pre season banquet on Tuesday April 22 at 7 p m at James cafe. Losers provide the banquet.
