She is now employed at the Associates Loan Co. While in high school, Miss Hilpert was a cheerleader, majorette for the Potter High School band, single club, treasurer of the senior class, representative of the school for March of Dimes Queen and Homecoming Queen.

Thefts From Farms Reported In County
Sheriff reports two farm thefts in rural areas. Five log chains and boomers disappeared from a farm west of Dalton. About 2,000 bushels of wheat were stolen from a bin southwest of Lorenzo owned by Don Meier. Trucks were seen nearby but no further action noted. The wheat may have been taken to Omaha or Lincoln without a marketing card.

Emma Schimka 74 of Sunol died Thursday at Memorial Hospital after years of declining health. She lived with sister Ella Fraass in Sidney for four months and previously resided in Sunol since 1925. Funeral Monday April 20 at 2 p.m. from Craig Mortuary with Rev. B J Warrenburg officiating. Burial in Bohemian Cemetery near Sunol. Surviving sisters Rose Gould Council Bluffs Iona Mary E Brown Sidney, Ella Fraass Sidney. brother Joe Schimka Chappell. eight nieces and one nephew. Preceded by both parents Adam and Mary Novak Schimka.
