Plumber Injured After Fall From Vo-Ag School Roof
James Goodwin, a Hutchison & Stover plumber, fell from the Vo-Ag school roof into hot tar Wednesday afternoon. He was treated at Dr. Roche’s office for serious burns to the face, head, arms, and body. The roof had been damaged by fire, destroying the entire south portion.

R S Van Tassell longtime Wyoming pioneer and former Cheyenne County commissioner died in Pasadena California on Tuesday at over 90 years old. Born in New York he joined a 1865 expedition recruited to head west along the Union Pacific route and helped establish a Cheyenne base before settling in the town. Frank Hawxby aged 57, longtime Peetz resident and local implement expert, collapsed at home Sunday morning after lighting a stove and dressing. He had moved from Nehama City in 1916, farmed land between Peetz and Laura site, later worked 11 years for Hall implement in Peetz, and spent recent months in Sterling and Sidney circles. He is survived by his family.
