Golf Tourney Set At Sidney Country Club This Sunday
The Sidney Country Club hosts the first club golf tournament of the season on Sunday morning at the local course Hinks. President R. P. Kepler and Gold Chairman W. Smith will lead the opening teams. Wheat and barley prospects lift Cheyenne crop hopes
In Cheyenne county the winter wheat crop shows strong potential due to ample moisture in subsoil and surface soil. Some thinning is noted but not enough to threaten stands. Longworth Dies After Illness in South Carolina
Nicholas Longworth speaker of the house died yesterday morning in South Carolina after a brief influenza illness. His death shocks Washington as a dominant Republican figure who had organized the house in recent sessions. He was married to Alice Roosevelt Longworth. No funeral arrangements were announced last night.

Dr RB E Roche A S Hardy and F A Bush won city council seats in a fiery election focused on paving policy. Clown Suit Contest At Fox Theatre Saturday
