Out Of State Wheat Tax Test Sought

Accused Deserter Picked Up In Sidney In 1956 Navy desertion
A 23 year old man named Stewart Ralph Davis accused of deserting from the United States Navy in 1956 was captured by the county sheriff Monday night and expected to be turned over to Navy officers today. Davis had worked at the local bowling alley. Sheriff W. W. Schulz said Navy officials reported the desertion occurred in San Diego. His home is in Michigan and his wife had been living here until recently.
