Gas Rate To Light Power Plant Not Acceptable
Kansas Nebraska Natural Gas Co. advised Sidney city officials it will not continue gas service to the municipally owned light and power plant under the new rate schedule. The firm favors a standard interruptible rate and says the city’s rate would prevent interruptible service, though the difference is about $7,000 annually. If the ordinance takes effect, gas service to the plant will terminate unless the original contract is accepted.
