Two Wells Are Being Completed In Cheyenne County Oil Fields
The Ohio Oil Co reports two new pool wells in Cheyenne County showing strong production. Beyer B-3 in North Sidney yielded oil and gas with a first sand tested at 4,702 feet and gas surfaced in 25 minutes. Flessner No 1 in Cookfield produced 3,030 feet of oil with tests reaching 4342 feet. Pipe in place for production, Beyer No 4 planned. Sioux Depot water issues persist for Texas Co. and Shell, while activity continues in Potter, Logan, Kimball and Julesburg basins with several wells drilling and preparing for perforation or testing.

Platte Pipeline to Reach 35 Miles West of Holdrege
Platte Valley Pipe Line will join about 35 miles west of Holdrege this summer to connect eastern and western sections. The 1000 mile system will carry crude from Rocky Mountain and western Nebraska fields to Wood River Illinois, with 16 inch pipe for northern Wyoming and 20 inch pipe from Casper to Illinois. Four main pumping stations will support the line, enabling 100 000 barrels per day to reach eastern markets.
