Fifty Million Extra For Roads Allotted By Secretary Hyde
Secretary of Agriculture Arthur M. Hyde apportions eighty plus million dollars among the forty eight states and Hawaii for federal aid highways in the new fiscal year. The act signed by President Hoover on April four authorizes one hundred twenty five million annually for 1931 1932 and 1933 while providing an extra fifty million for 1931 to be split among states. Nebraska’s share rises to two million forty four thousand two hundred ten dollars per year under the new appropriation.
