Goodview residents share visits and hospitality across families from Council Bluffs to Sidney. Notable items include Cynthia Jean Sick’s birth, Marcella Haskell’s fifth birthday party, Sunshine Club event, Girl Scouts postponement, and several dinners, lunches, and weekend calls among local households.
Lorenzo Women’s Club met with seven members and four visitors Mrs. Jay Peters Mrs. Daryl Meiers Mrs. Ivan Walker and Miss Shirley Walker. Business led by president Mrs. Ida Hurt followed by a lesson on Dress and Skirt Hems. After adjournment games awarded prizes to Mrs. J. C. Peters Mrs. Elmer Fulton and Mrs. Daryl Meier. guest prize to Karen Meier. Lunch served. Next meeting at Mrs. Elmer Fulton’s home on Thursday April 25. Several social visits noted with local families and attendance at lessons and gatherings through the week.
Easter Egg Hunt will be held in the parks on Saturday April 20. The Bridge Club met at Mrs. A C Peterson’s home with guests Mrs. Robert Michelman and others. Venona Chapter 281 CES held a meeting at the Masonic Hall with 19 members present.
Mrs A C Bale attended the Cheyenne County Memorial Hospital auxiliary board meeting Tuesday afternoon. The Methodist Church schedule lists Sunday School at 9 45 a m and Worship at 11 a m with Circle Meetings Thursday at 2 p m. Storms postponed the Activities Banquet to Tuesday and disrupted classes. Mothers Club and country children were affected. Upcoming Circle Meetings and Sorority events with Mrs Henry Jenik on April 11 and Project Club on April 16.
