Ironing guidance for fabric grain and hems care
When ironing, press with the length of fabric rather than across the width where possible. If a skirt, slip, or nightgown is cut on the bias, iron on a slant along the grain to prevent stretching and sagging that makes hems uneven.
Improve Farm Woodlot Yields Through Protective Practices
Foresters urge simple steps to raise per acre output from about 85 to 150 board feet yearly. Protect woodlots from grazing and fires to let trees replace themselves. Remove vines choking desirable trees and girdle wide crowned trees to aid younger growth while removing worthless species. Emphasize dense planting on the west and southwest to reduce winter winds.
Root Vegetables Store Well in Basement
