An unwilling prisoner who went to Germany in 1939 for a visit returned to the United States this week after a ten year “vacation” in Stuttgart. Mrs Antoinette Gesell arrived in Sidney on Thursday to join her daughter and family, while her husband Henry Gesell plans an later return. Both Gesells were born in Germany and moved to the U S at age 16, marrying in Milwaukee. their 1939 trip marked their first return since.

An estimated 85 damage to a 1939 DeSoto sedan driven by Irwin Fehringer of Peetz Colo occurred at 11 o clock Sunday night on Highway 19 two miles south of Sidney.
