Bluffs Insurance Man Killed in Airport Accident
Warren L. Burkholder 49 of Scottsbluff, longtime Cornhusker Motor Club official, was instantly killed at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Scottsbluff Airport when a gust shifted his gyroplane and the propeller struck him. FAA investigators assess the accident as Burkholder prepared to fly. He was known for presenting safety awards in Sidney. Danny Murtaugh, former Pirates pennant winner, is listed as an executive assistant to the Pirates with GM Joe L. Brown and Manager Harry Walker.
