Sept W L Parks passed through Saturday en route for Omaha. Will Blood made his first trip Wednesday as freight conductor. J E Sullivan reinstated as conductor with a passenger run. Wm Pantenburg and Sam Boggs became brakemen on the Union Pacific. H L Anderson and W GW Peterson inspected UP affairs. Sixty five freight brakemen and twenty five conductors are now employed on the UP third division. On second track work in Wyoming 300 men and 200 teams are at work with more to come as weather moderates. Mose McFarland, popular UP conductor, reinstated after three months layoff from a wreck near Big Springs last December. Railroad work progresses on Nebraska and Wyoming lines with few winter work stoppages. Between North Platte and Northport 400 men and 100 teams are at work. Burlington reportedly took off the North Platte Bridgeport gang. crews and teams redirected to irrigation ditches west of Bridgeport.
