Anthony to lead Sidney Jaycees for coming year
Vern Anthony was elected unanimously as Sidney Jaycees president for the year at a last night Elks Club meeting. A 32 year old Nebraska graduate and Sidney Telegraph advertising manager, Anthony has past year experience as first vice president and was Jaycee Key Man Award recipient in 1953. He succeeds Bob Wait and will head a slate including Hank Meysenburg first vice president Merle Bobo secretary Lou Wilson treasurer Bendy Hockman state director Dick Smith directors Lew Schneider Jack Glenn Chuck Laffer Roy Bobo and Gene Wamsley. The new officers will be installed May 7 at the Elks Club.

Dalton Motorist Fined In DUI Case In Cheyenne County
Jake Ortivez, 34, of Dalton, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and was fined 100 dollars plus costs.
