The Simla Woman's Club elected officers for the coming year at a March 17 meeting with Mrs. Ralph Beavers and announced the next gathering March 31 with Mrs Howard Beerlne. Other local notes report medical cases, home moves, farm demonstrations and church activities in Dalton and surrounding areas.
Gurley Garden Club members Mrs. E. C. Collart Mrs. Irene Cunningham Mrs. F A Rowan and others traveled to Scottsbluff March 24 for the Federated Garden Clubs of Nebraska fifth district meet in the public library lecture room. The program featured vocal solos by Natharyn Siever and Ruth Ireland, a talk by State President Mrs. Grouseman on outdoor living rooms and flower arranging demonstrations.
Mrs Elmer Mayer postponed plans to move to her new home in the west on Monday due to the death of Marion Dugger Sunday evening. The delay follows the unexpected death and reflects family concern during the weekend shift in plans.
