The Shoshone highway commissioners will erect a substantial iron bridge to replace the wooden crossing on the Big Wood river in Lincoln county above the Cottonwoods. The 40 foot span, a discarded railroad bridge, offers greater tensile strength and longevity at low cost. It will be located 300 yards upstream from the old bridge to improve erosion control and provide a flat grade for wagons.

Confessed murder charges against ten others in Twin Falls case
Sami Ketey and Carl Speotein, young companions in crime, confessed to their roles in the death of Michael P. Mulloy at Blue Lakes grade. Sentenced by Judge Stoddludge to ten to fifty years for first degree, three to ten for manslaughter, with Jacobson and Treley receiving concurrent penalties. Police say the group lured Mulloy, attacked him with a beer bottle, and dumped the body down the grade after taking money. Treley admitted sole blame. Jacobson, drunk, helped and later fled with a small sum. Mulloy, a farm laborer from Eden, saved money and had good references.
