Lost South Seas Continent Study By Dr Woolnougt

Dr Woolnougt of Sydney University investigates a vanished continental block in the South Seas. He notes depths of 2000 fathoms between islands and finds Viti Levu granitic areas 400 to 604 square miles beneath volcanic rocks. He describes a rectangular river network, an upraised coral reef 200 feet above sea level, sea shells in conglomerate at 800 feet, and tilts up to 4500 feet, indicating a massive uplift and faulting in the original continent. Fiji rivers show youthful development and canyon-like erosion.
