Little Time for Campaigning for Major Reed
Press of Business may keep Major Reed off the stump as campaign season opens. He is renowned as a speaker with strong support for the Republican state committee, but his North Side business interests make travel difficult. Indications suggest he may appear briefly to address voters, though his absence would limit a prominent campaigner this year. Mr Beckett and Mrs Heckett traveled to Howe for an operation, following their physician Dr Dill’s guidance. The prognosis varies, with hope for eventual recovery but no certainty of a full cure.
