Woolgrowers organize to exterminate coyotes in county

Lincoln County Woolgrowers Association meeting elected Price Newman president and T H Gooding secretary treasurer to lead efforts against coyotes. Members vote to assess one cent per head on sheep to fund immediate action, divide county into sections, and urge broad cooperation. Also lists several local court actions and cases about real estate, water rights, liens, and an injunction involving mangy horses.

Short Lincoln County District Court Term Ends Early

Shooting Scrape Near Muldoon Rocks Ongoing

Tuesday afternoon at Muldoon, 20 miles east of Hailey, George R. M. Hill shot his brother in law Al Moran during a dispute over dipping vats. Hill surrendered to Sheriff Williams in Hailey while Dr. Allen of Bellevue traveled to treat Moran. Moran’s injuries are described as serious, Hill to be held pending prognosis. both men are longtime local sheepmen.

Reclamation Service Delays Heyburn and Rupert Sales

Official notice from the Reclamation Service postpones the November sales of lots in the Heyburn and Rupert town sites on the Minidoka project. The sale dates of November 14 and 21 are moved to early April due to late season, heat, and visitor accommodations. 1000 settlers already on land expected to clear sagebrush and plant crops. Minidoka to become a prosperous agricultural community in Snake River valley. Bronze coins described as mixtures of copper, tin and zinc.

Rev A F Randall Resigns From St Matthews Parish

The Kansan Republican notes Rev A F Randall resigns from St Matthews parish Newton Kansas to take a position out west at American Falls. His brother will ship household goods to spare Newton residents another sight of him. Randall’s leadership improved the church edifice finances and harmony. He will hold two services monthly starting next Sunday with Rev Howard Stoy of Hailey assisting.

Rabbit drive at Gooding ranch kills many, 2000 escape

Over 1200 rabbits killed in a drive at F W Gooding’s ranch last Saturday afternoon. More rabbits were killed than expected as few participants controlled the run, with about 2000 escaping. A repeat drive is planned next Sunday at three o clock, with dogs and guns not welcome.
