The Burley Bulletin extols Shoshone Idaho as a destined, thriving railroad junction and county seat in Lincoln County. It envisions the town becoming a division point for the Oregon Short Line with expanding wood river and Snake River canal links, plus a planned flour mill and shops reopening. Rabbit drive planned at F W Gooding’s ranch near town with fencing and corral. Public land script trade offered by Contins LAND Washington DC. Dam break at government dam causes damage and two weeks delay in Rupert Record.
Regular session notes approved road overseer reports for districts 1 through 9. Claims approved with partial disallowances. warrants set for road work and supplies. Later sessions discuss establishment of new school district 26 with defined boundaries along Snake River reaches.
The county board approves multiple district boundary changes including districts 23 25 9 1 15 and 25 as petitioner ledgers. Descriptions detail starting points river boundaries township lines and corner sections with distances and directions to alter district extents along Snake River and surrounding townships. Concluded notes indicate continuation on page 4.
The new financial institution announces its opening date January twentieth with a listed board of directors including P. R. Gooding, Pret W. Gooding, Thom J. Choudhary, Homan M. Heribert, and Bernard A. Walser among others.
