Shoshone Highway Case Clears Way For Roads
The Idaho Supreme Court affirmed the validity of the Shoshone Highway District and its bond issue, ruling Senator Fred W. Gooding eligible to serve as highway commissioner. The third annual Tahoe State Chautauqua will be held at the Pinney Theatre Boise from June 19 to 29 with Dr Edward Howard Griggs as a leading lecturer. The program features lectures by Griggs, John Mitchell of the American Federation of Labor, Cora Mel Patton of Chicago expression, the Chicago Operatic Company, and various musical and cultural events. On Saturday June 45 visitors may view the Indian Village at Kil Carson's Buffalo Ranch Wild West Shows. Indians from Sioux Comanche and Cheyenne tribes with chiefs warriors squaws and papooses perform in gaudy dress and sing on the historic frontier, with Chief Ear as a notable figure.
