Shiner High School Class Organizes Club
The Senior Class of Shiner High School met on September 15 1920 to organize a Class Club. Officers elected include President Irma Dziewas Vice President Charlie Kasper Sec Treas Louise Thulemeyer Yell Leader Elvera Herder Press Reporter Lillian Merseburger. A committee of Josie Schmidt Louise Thulemeyer Alma Canon Eddie Berckenhoff and Erwin Kempe will seek sample booklets for rings pins mottoes and advise on class colors and flower. The group has twenty active members.

Local Patients Suffer Appendicitis Operations
Mrs. Jos. Hubner remains a patient at the Sanitarium. Frank Zernim of San Antonio was operated on for appendicitis and will go home soon. Miss Klostermann and Anton Janksy’s daughter underwent appendicitis surgeries and are home. Others, including John Ritz Clement Peteray and Chas Kasperschild, had operations and returned home with conditions improving. Arno Wagener visited Houston on business last Thursday.

Plageman Discontinues Boarders in Shiner Residence
Mrs W W Plageman informs the Gazette she has discontinued taking boarders and rented her home to Mr Steve Holchak. J E Edmondson lectured in Shiner last Monday for the Farmers Institute but no meeting occurred due to farmers being busy. Greens School opens Monday October 4 with statements from The First National and Farmers State Banks noting prosperity.

Chief Quartermaster U S Navy Walter Richt er writes from Fayetteville Arkansas after a long naval career including World War I service. He notes seven years foreign duty and participation in clearing the North Sea Mine Barrage and a recent return to duty in Arkansas.
