Veit Infant Buried Tuesday in Shiner Catholic Cemetery
Denice Ann Veit infant daughter of Dennis Veit and Jerilyn Kurtz Veit of Houston died shortly after birth at Heights Hospital Houston on Monday November 25 1963. Funeral services were held Tuesday November 26 at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Father Alphonse Padalecki officiating. Burial followed in Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Surviving are the parents one brother Mark Anthony Veit of Houston paternal grandparents Mr and Mrs Chas Veit maternal grandparents Mr and Mrs Jerry Kurtz and maternal great grandmother Mrs Magdalena Kurtz all of Shiner.

Shiner Bids Farewell to President Kennedy
Shiner businesses closed Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and many remained closed all day in memory of John F. Kennedy. All schools closed in tribute.
