Improvements At Green Dickson Municipal Park

The community praises Miss Aline Wolters for supporting the park development. A five piece swing set was donated by Miss Wolters with one piece from the Salvation Army. Eighty trees were planted last week as the park expansion continues.

Local photographer breaks leg at Leopold Deer Camp

Joe Netardus a Yoakum photographer was hospitalized with a fractured right leg after a mis step at Leopold Deer Camp near Vienna on March 11. He, with two sons and a nephew, walked to a pond around 9 pm, fell, then returned to camp house and was taken to Huth Memorial Hospital in Yoakum for casting.

Baseball Committee Meeting Monday

A baseball committee meeting is scheduled for Monday March 20 at 7 00 p m in City Hall. All interested in the baseball program including Little League Babe Ruth Men Ladies and Little Girls Softball are urged to attend.

James Prasek Rites In California

James Prasek of Lincoln California died suddenly March 4 1967 at home from an apparent heart attack at 57. Funeral services were held March 7 at Clark Funeral Home with Requiem Mass at St Joseph Church and burial in St Joseph Cemetery. He headed from Hallettsville Texas to Yoakum to Lincoln California where he lived twenty years. He was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus member and Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his wife Anne, two sisters and one brother. He was preceded in death by two children and by his parents V J and Frances Prasek.

Extension Univ Offers Business Career Training

The National Extension University launches an eleven course business curriculum via consultation centers at Gonzales High School. Students may specialize in accounting or marketing and management and earn an Associate in Business Science diploma. Experienced business experts will serve as consultants and graduates are promised qualification for roles with major corporations. The first class begins enrolling in March.

California Rites For George F. Baca

George F. Baca of Highland California died February 28 1967 in a San Bernardino hospital at age 88. Funeral services were held March 3 at Bobbitt Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Bernardino with Rev Richard H Adams officiating. Burial was at Mountain View Cemetery. Survived by his wife Fannie Baca four sons two daughters and several grandchildren.

Dr Joseph P Harper longtime University of Scranton physics chair died February 25 1967 in Scranton hospital after months of illness. He was 57. Born in Mason Texas he helped build the departments graduate program and electronics degree. Emil Kasper a longtime Moulton resident and farmer died March 7 1967 at 11 00 am in Modern Nursing Home Flatonia after a long illness He was 89 6 3 native of Texas born September 4 1877 in Schulenburg son of Ferdinand and Louise Kasper He married Martha Seifert November 18 1901 in St Josephs Catholic Church Moulton He retired from farming moved to Moulton then lived with his daughter in Floresville after a stroke he was moved to Flatonia Rosary was recited March 8 and funeral March 9 at Smith Funeral Home St Josephs Church with Father Robert Schmidt officiating Interment in Moulton Catholic Cemetery Surviving are one son August R Kasper two daughters Emma Ermis and Annie Skarke eight grandchildren 13 great grandchildren one brother Frank Kasper and six half brothers and one half sister Also surviving are numerous other relatives The family extends thanks and sympathy to friends and neighbors

Creeping Shadows Comedy Mystery Comes to St Paul Seniors
